RUZGARWhere wind, water and riders meet.

Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab · Morocco · reviewed 2026-09-09

Dakhla

Dakhla combines lagoon-side camps north of the city with Atlantic wave beaches. Morocco’s tourism authority explicitly separates PK25 on the lagoon from Foum El Bouir on the ocean; current wingfoil operators add lessons, rental, safety boats, accommodation, and transfers.

How map references work

A point can mark a useful access, business, or approximate area reference. It does not establish a legal riding-zone boundary, guaranteed launch, safe depth, or current access permission.

Foum El Bouir · Atlantic side

An Atlantic-facing beach identified by the national tourism authority for surf and wind sports.

Access & safety

Do not transfer lagoon suitability to the ocean side
The tourism authority describes the two sides separately, and the school moves instruction according to level and conditions. Use an operator briefing for wind strength, tide, rescue cover, and the selected shore. Sources: Moroccan National Tourist Office · sport in Dakhla, Wingfoil Dakhla · lessons, rental, rescue, and transfers.
•••
The lagoon is also a sensitive wildlife setting
The national tourism source identifies the lagoon as habitat for migratory birds and marine wildlife. Follow current local access and environmental guidance; the map points are not permission to enter every shoreline. Sources: Moroccan National Tourist Office · Dakhla beach and lagoon.
•••

Not a live safety service. Recheck local notices, closures, access, weather, and water conditions before every session.

Wingfoil Dakhla

A lagoon-focused school publishing wingfoil and kitesurf lessons, independent rental, radio coaching, safety-boat support, and transfers to a riding location selected for the booking.

Plan the trip

A transfer package can be more useful than a rental car
The reviewed school publishes airport and spot transfers, and its camp includes the airport journey. Independent car access and parking conditions vary by chosen camp or beach and remain a booking-stage check. Sources: Wingfoil Dakhla · lessons, rental, rescue, and transfers, Wingfoil Dakhla · MIA Resort camp package.
•••
Choose lagoon or ocean before choosing accommodation
PK25 and Foum El Bouir are separate lagoon and ocean references. Wingfoil Dakhla offers a package with MIA Resort, which publishes its address at Jarf El Hamam, El Argoub. Do not use the PK25 map point to locate that accommodation or assume a lesson launch beside it. Sources: Moroccan National Tourist Office · sport in Dakhla, Wingfoil Dakhla · MIA Resort camp package, MIA Hotels · Dakhla Resort address.

Windsurf and kite programme context
Oasis212 publishes kite teaching, equipment rental and a mixture of flatter and choppier lagoon water. Its FAQ recommends April to October within a broader February to October period. This assessment uses the narrower interval and does not transfer lagoon conditions to Lassarga’s ocean windsurfing. Sources: ION CLUB Oasis212 · lagoon kite programme · checked 16 October 2026.
