Île de Ré

Ars-en-Ré has a sailing-school base by the Fier d’Ars; the club also lists summer kite courses and a separate seasonal foil centre on Atlantic-facing La Conche. Rivedoux-Plage is a distinct kite and windsurf coast, not either Ars school site.

How map references work

A point can mark a useful access, business, or approximate area reference. It does not establish a legal riding-zone boundary, guaranteed launch, safe depth, or current access permission.

Access & safety

A beach centre is not a launch corridor
The mapped beach centre does not establish the permitted wingfoil corridor, swimmer separation, or tidal depth. Use current signs and a CNAR briefing; local beach and maritime restrictions may change. Sources: Destination Île de Ré · CNAR wingfoil rental record, OpenStreetMap · La Conche beach.

Not a live safety service. Recheck local notices, closures, access, weather, and water conditions before every session.

Cercle Nautique d’Ars-en-Ré

The tourism office lists wingfoil in the school programme, with a separate summer La Conche site.

Plan the trip

La Rochelle bus access serves the island villages
The tourism office says regional line 150 links La Rochelle with all ten villages. A village stop is not a guarantee of convenient foil-bag carriage or a beach-side drop-off; check the live timetable and equipment rules. Sources: Destination Île de Ré · bus and island transfers.

Season and tide determine the lesson base
The tourism listing puts summer wingfoil on La Conche and lists July–August kite courses at CNAR. Confirm the sport, site, and tidal sailing window with the club rather than assigning every course to the Ars address.
